A. INTRODUCTION
The business of magazine management and production has radically changed because of the growing impact of technology. This has brought to the fore the need to prepare journalism students with the task ahead. Therefore, this course is designed to teach journalism students all they need to know about magazine management, production and marketing. Through this course, they will acquire the needed skills to survive the growing dynamics in the magazine world.

Introductrion

Growing human susceptibility to killer diseases has brought to the fore the need for holistic measures to curb the menace. Statistics from health bodies around the world indicate that the entire human race is, more than ever before, endangered by frequent disease outbreaks. Threats from new bacterial and viral diseases are common with the breaking of each day. For instance, while the world was still battling to prevent and control the outbreak of Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) in Africa, the world woke up in 2016 to hear the news of Zika virus (a viral disease that could be transmitted by mosquitoes). This does not, in any way, diminish the threats posed by Human Papiloma Virus (HPV), Human Immune deficiency Virus (HIV), Hepatitis B, Cancer, Cholera, Avian Flu, Polio, and other sexually transmitted disease. Unfortunately, there is no known cure for some of these diseases. This has left everything entirely to prevention. Unarguably, prevention is a function of the awareness and knowledge levels of individuals about a particular disease or health concern. Therefore, this course aims at raising the awareness and knowledge level of students on certain health issues in their environment and around would. They will also acquire basic health skills required to survive an increasingly health risk society.
Through this course, students will understand how to design health campaigns that will lead to change in attitude and behavior.

All over the world, academic activities are built around teaching and research. Experts insist that without research, it will be impossible to acquire new knowledge. In the media world, research dots all activities and determines the effectiveness of our communication. For instance, a medium gets to know what the audience thinks, what advert and public relations messages are persuasive and the changing dynamics in communication through research. Therefore, this course aims at introducing students to the world of communication research, thereby helping them develop basic research skills needed in everyday academic, business and social life. The students will through this course, understand what communication and general social science research are and how they are conducted. They will also acquire basic knowledge on the types of research methods applicable in communication research.
